Operating principale:
Rotodome is designed to withdraw the residue of
sugar from flat bottom storage facility after
the cessation of gravity flow discharge. During
normal operation of the silo (or dome structure)
under the gravity discharge, the machine is dormant,
buried under the product. Once the gravity discharge
stops, the machine is available to collect the
residue through rotating and sweeping action of
the screw (auger). The screw sweeps entire floor
surface of the storage facility.
Design:
Tubular structure supports two parallel screws
spanning entire radius of the silo. The screws
drives are located inside of a housing positioned
in the center of the silo. The sweeping movement
is achieved via rack and pinion. The racks is
fixed at the outer perimeter of the silo floor,
the pinion and its drive motor enclosed in a casing
above the rack.
